The Statewide Medical Director provides the comprehensive medical direction needed to meet the service delivery requirements of a specific contract in collaboration with the Vice President of Operations/Regional Vice President, and provides the clinical and utilization management direction needed to meet the service delivery requirements for the specific contract.  The Statewide Medical Director will also mentor, clinically supervise and evaluate the team-delivered medical services for the patients at all facilities of the contract and promote the culture of quality medical care using evidence-based standard of care.
