We are looking for an experienced Psychiatrist with demonstrated experience in the administration of BH staff to drive positive outcomes in a patient-centric correctional healthcare environment. The incumbent will be responsible for the management of behavioral health services with oversight for the patient care needs of approximately 1500 on the behavioral health caseload. Serves as a liaison between the medical/clinical staff, Miami Dade Corrections and Rehab (MDCR) and Jackson Health System (JHS) leadership. Assists, implements and achieves the Behavioral Health goals and objectives for the clinics/center of responsibility. Ensures that all Behavioral Health services meet or exceed standards required by the Federal Department of Justice and State of Florida Licensure requirements and are aligned with NCCHC national standards. This role will work collaboratively on a daily basis with the CHS CMO and leadership and is approximately 60% clinical/patient care and 40% administrative.
License in the state of Florida as M.D or D.O. Board Certified or Board eligible in Psychiatry. Correctional Health and/or forensic experience preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
